Looking forward to first (home) league game of the season on Tuesday.
Let's put in a decent performance and bag the 3 points.

Tom Lorraine should reach his century of Diamonds appearances. His contributions to the club's success should not be underestimated -it was good to see him get the manager's player of the season award last term.

The Chasetown captain is James Dance, who played against R&DFC in their last two seasons, including the three victories we had at the Rockinghorse in that period.

They've also got ex-Daventry winger Mitch Piggon, plus they've just signed three members of Stafford Rangers division winning side last season. Not to mention former Walsall and Grimsby winger Peter Till (who played against our former incarnation), and watch out for the two strikers Sullivan and Langston.
Dangerous opponents. MUST take our chances tonight.

No complaints about that result, men against boys. Chasetown challenged for every ball, won the vast majority of headers and just ran us off the park.

The return of Oulton and Curtis is desperately needed.

And get rid of some of the bang average players involved tonight. Your not going to get much success without playing any wide players and having failed to bring in much of the way of quality over the summer, peasksy needs to find somebody and fast.

I know it's a prerequisite that to play for us you must have played for either K*ttering, Corby or Cogenhoe, but surely amongst that small group of players there must be someone capable of playing on the wing.
Interesting tactics again tonight, playing narrow once more and therefore allowing their ex-professional right back 10 seconds to pick his spot and whip a ball in every time.
We looked to have gotten the better of them for around 15-20 minutes in the first half, aside from that we were second best in every department and can have no complaints. Men against boys would be fair, can't recall saying that many times in the last 5 years.
