Hoping to be able to get out of work on time to get to this, gutted it was off yesterday - a morning of juggling work appointments tomorrow morning methinks!!
Forecast for Egham is looking okay for Tuesday so fingers crossed it'll be on !!

I may even pop over to see Aylesbury FC vs Royston on Thursday being as though we have a bit of an interest in that one!

I'll be making the near on 100 mile journey from work in Market Harborough, although I've got a bad feeling I'll be making the exact same trip 7 days later.

according to my statistics if Brad Harris makes an appearance on Tuesday he will overtake Sam Brown and become the player with most appearances for AFC R&D - 158

Correct and has also been noted by said Sam Brown, who from the conversation I had with him Saturday has every intention of trying to regain that stat next season, race is on for 1st to 200.

I hope both of them do continue to play for us for a long time. They have both been a vital part of our brief history. Matt Finlay has also now topped the 100 and both Tom Lorraine and Liam Dolman are only a few away from attaining that total.

What that donkey?*
*Please note that this is an ironic post as I'm still finding it difficult to understand how anyone could think Brad was a donkey

If you actually read the context of my post, you will see that I was in balance praising Harris, acclaiming that hard work and teamwork go along way as well as natural ability.
He's a Jon Obi Mikel, a Marouane Fellaini, or if you want to go more along the RDFC history books a Dave Savage, or a Shane Huke when played in midfield. I personally don't enjoy watching these players as much as technicians and box-to-box central midfielders.
I stand by the fact that technically he is a donkey compared to some players we've had on our books. Do you seriously think he's a gifted technical footballer? He's effective but not a lot else in my eyes. Football is a game of opinions...and so are forums.

Opinions are fine - but insults are not.

Who insulted anyone?
I simply used a metaphor, which as one online football dictionary puts it "A football (soccer) play with physical presence but little ball control, passing or shooting ability. A donkey typically "hoofs" the ball." That pretty much conveys my point perfectly, in one word rather than twenty.
