Remaining Fixtures for CSP & Aylesbury...

Post by BartonRaz »

Chalfont
Egham (H)
Bedford (A)
Leighton (H)

Aylesbury
Ware (A)
Aylesbury Utd (H)
Royston (H)
St Ives (H)
Northwood (A)

Diamonds
Hanwell (H)
Barton Rovers (H)
Egham (A)
Godalming (H)

Whilst Aylesbury can catch us with games in hand, their run-in looks pretty tough, I'd certainly be concerned if that was us. Regarding Chalfont, Saturday is an important day for us as their final two fixtures look very winnable given their current form.

Saying that, it'll all be immaterial if we don't get our own house in order.

With Hereford beating Alvechurch last night, subsequently knocking Alvechurch off top spot, it increases the threat of a move to the Northern League should we fail to get promoted this season.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

IMO the key opponents are Aylesbury and St Ives, as we need one of them to drop points for us to get into top five. Crucially they meet on the 19th. So one or either will drop points.

Aylesbury also have to play Royston.

SO ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS WIN THE REMAINING FOUR GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!

Could not both Hereford and Alvechurch be promoted?

Bedford are capable of beating anyone on their day, as they showed against Egham. So hopefully that day will be against Chalfont!!

Can't both be promoted from the same division, unless the FA rip up their own rulebook.

They both could get promoted, but it very rarely happens.

Last season both Petersfield & Winchester City both got promoted from the Wessex League. :clapping: :clapping:

Yes it was the Petersfield/Winchester scenario that I had in mind. Promoting both Alvechurch and Hereford would solve a headache for the FA.

Diamonds in the NPLS would be a disaster for the club and just as importantly for me being southern based a lot of the time.

But lets not get to concerned until we know our fate for this season.

They promoted Winchester to prevent a mutiny by clubs fearful of being sent west.
I doubt if they would view your travel arrangements in the same light. :cheesy:

Now that Bedworth have been relegated from SL Prem surely they are more likely to be placed in NPLS with Hereford. Thus ending any speculation concerning our future if we don't get promoted.

Nice try. Bedworth were projected to be in the NLD1S prior to yesterday, and Hereford will go in the Southern League South & West.
