The unofficial AFC Rushden & Diamonds messageboard

I'm sure most of you who have logged in today will notice that the forum looks a bit different. I was playing around with the back end of the website and it seemed to update itself, removing the website banner and a few other bits in the process. The two people that have the permissions to sort that don't really look at this forum so we might have to live without the banner for now.

Anyway, I was playing around with this forum for good reason as the amount of spam registrations we had pouring in had become unmanagable for Diamondsforever and I. I think i've mentioned this before but we were getting over 100 spam registrations a day, and it was time consuming to differentiate between what was real and what was fake, particularly if there was no reference to 'Diamonds', 'Rushden' etc in the username.

The fix i've put in seems to be working as we've had no registrations today, so if you've been wanting to register - or trying to register for ages (sorry!) - now might be a good time. Perhaps we'll get some new blood to liven this place up a bit. ;)

Glad you guys are on now. I've registered about 8 or 9 in the last few days since I made the change so things seem to be working. Hopefully nobody's had to wait more than a few hours.

Just need a new banner now. ;)
