With no responses from the volunteer advert for some AFCRDTV help I would like to break down the areas where help is needed.

Editing - We have one editor but they can't make every match, to edit the video probably takes about 3 hours, it's not that difficult once you know what you are doing - I have managed to learn how to do it so it can't be that hard!. I would be happy to show someone how to do it (on a mac) and I am sure the other editor would be able to help on windows. Once edited it needs uploading to the youtube channel and club website. If we can get another volunteer to edit we should be able to cover the season on a rota basis. If not then we will only be able to do highlights for the games the editors can make.

Camera people - Filming a match is not difficult it's basically pointing and zooming but is quite tiring doing a whole match on your own as you watch the match through the viewer. The more people who can help the less time each would have to do on the camera. Ideally if we have three people per match we can split the filming to 30 minutes each and that can even be 15 minutes stints in each half.
To try and show how easy it is, I ill bring the camera to the Rushden & Higham match and set it up along the half way line. If you have considered volunteering and want to see how easy it is to film come and have a go, we won't edit it just come along get on the camera and I can show you what to do.

All first team vids get over 500 views and some get over 1000 so this is a well-used resource but the same people can't do the same jobs forever. If you go to some games, enjoy watching the highlights and can work a computer then please consider helping out - otherwise we'll have no choice but to stop them.

I can only echo what Pete says. The highlights are a great resource that most of us enjoy and 217 people (at the time of posting) have viewed this and is there nobody out there who can give up 45 minutes of one day every now and then to help? Or nobody who has done any editing before or is computer literate?

This service is at risk to being lost and I'm sure none of us want that to happen so if you are able to help out then please come forward, otherwise we wont have highlights anymore.

I should be able to help with the editing - I'd be using Windows but I think I could probably manage to put the video and commentary together if it's all recorded already.

On the subject, have the club considered investing in an additional camera or cameraperson to get alternative shots (perhaps from behind the goals or touchline?)

We have difficulty getting more than us 3 regulars to film the match with one camera let alone two though! If we can get a few camera people then that may be an option in the future.

I did notice someone filming a game at Barton Rovers fixed a camera behind one of the goals and just let it record without any panning. He might have been with Dunstable Town who were playing there that evening, but I didn't look to see what the end results were like.
