If that's true then good for them! Their current ground must be worth enough to build a decent UCL facility.

It's a shared facility with the cricket club.

You mention 'approval', what is your source?

Appears to have gone very quiet, no news of a resubmitted application to ENC.

The cricket club and Hayden Road are owned by the same entity, Rushden Sports, if they sell the land occupied by the cricket and football club then they could have that money to purchase land on the borders of the town.

We've known about this for a few months, things must have moved on for it to be made public. I agree with Rob, good for them, anything that improves facilities in the town has to be good news.

Do we know where the land is exactly that they have located that they wish to develop? Bear in the mind you don't have to actually purchase a site before you apply for planning permission. If it is land to the east of the A6 then this is the area that the NNJPU have identified as the 'preferred option' for the future expansion of Rushden. It follows that the planning authority (ENC) would not look favourably on any piece meal development of this area without detailed consideration how this would integrate with future residential development.
