I wonder how much of this will reach down to our level?

I'm sure that parachute payments (being rewarded for failure) and paying the living wage (why should this come as a separate item?) will take precedence

I can't see it coming down that much, because the greedy Premiership boys will want it all. :x

Its quite an ironic announcement on the back of rumours the FA is planning to cut prize money to the FA Vase and FA Trophy in order to fund the coaching side of things -

Well said that man.
Coach educators are vital if we are to develop players in this country.
The problem is that the FA puts all the responsibility for coaches joining the LCC, getting in CPD hours and bettering themselves to keep up with the development of the kids.
It's too easy. At the moment you do your level 1, which takes three evenings and three days over two weekends and, providing you turn up and don't kill anyone in your assessment, you will pass. You could then coach for thirty years and if you keep your Emergency Aid and Safeguarding certificate up to date (once every three years) then the FA are unlikley to darken your doors.
The County FA's put on some good CPD events but there is no neccessity to attend. A couple of weeks ago I attended an England DNA evening, it was a good evening (they usually are) and a chance to interact and sympathise with other coaches. Out of all the coaches in the County there were a dozen there.
