Just shows how strong our squad is when a player who may not always get a start with us joins a Club who are challenging in the league above.

Shame to see him go. Fazel is a genuinely nice man but as we have seen before he needs to be playing regularly.

I'll second that, but I'm not surprised by this given the recent arrivals at the club - there may be one or two others likely to move on I'd guess.
Good luck Fazel, thanks for all you've done!!

It is always sad when a good well liked player moves on, but it has to happen even to the very best at some time, and that time is now for Faz. With all the recent additions it was inevitable someone would be leaving. It is better he goes now, before he gets disenchanted like some others we could mention, and he is of course going to a higher league club.
Thanks for everything Faz and good luck with your new club.
I know a young lady, who adores Faz, that will be very unhappy tonight.

That young lady has just requested a visit to Rugby tonight!
A decent and nice man who will be missed by many not just a young lady. Good luck Faz and thanks for your time at AFC R&D.

Sad about that really, he's never been hugely consistent and I still think one of the best performances I've seen him out in was the friendly at Stamford last year, but he's done pretty well in his time here and scored plenty of goals, many of them good goals too, so sad to see him go. It will be interesting to see what sort of role he has at Rugby, a team chasing promotion in a league above, but its a testament to the strength of our squad that one of the better teams from a higher level wants a player who probably wouldn't be in our first choice 11 with the current squad.

I think it was inevitable that a player would leave, with the recent signings.
Fazel's number one fan will be disappointed to hear this news. Best of luck for the future Faz.

I think Fazel's problem is that he always preferred to play as a striker rather than a wide left sided midfielder where he's been used in the last few months so with Declan Rogers signing his opportunities were going to be limited. Great scoring return, nevertheless, with a goal every other game and many coming when he played off a frontman such as Dunkley.
As others have said, smashing lad, and I hope he gets plenty of game time at the Valley.

Really sad to see Fazel go. Was frustrating as hell at times, but if he fancied it and was on his game the opposition were in for a tough 90 minutes.
It was inevitable somebody would move on, but I'm disappointed it's him. I don't think the Dunkley/Koriya partnership has ever been utilised enough by Starmer or Peaks. 34 goals in 70 games for a player that was mostly confined to the wing (which isn't his best or prefered position) is pretty impressive. Ultimately I'd say he has been one of my favourite AFC Diamonds players to date.
All the best Fazel!
