Oadby match parking

Post by MarkH »

Looking to go to this next Saturday and was wondering if there were any parking arrangements in place.

Looking at Google Earth I noted there is a country park just south of the ground.

During our previous visit 2 years ago, there is parking inside the ground for around 70 cars if your early enough. Then street parking outside the entrance. Although things may have changed a little now but I don't know how

It's a car park to the Leisure Centre. Free to park, plenty of space and definitely the best place to park. Turn left at the traffic lights immediately before the ground if arriving from the A6.

I see £1 of each entry fee is being donated to the Bodie Hodges Foundation - fair play Oadby, great gesture !!!

They've stuck a quid on the usual entry fee, so I'll leave you to decide if it's a great gesture or not

Usually a fiver at Oadby, so "a great gesture" which will not cost them a penny!

They could have done that and kept it - I still think it's a great gesture to support a charity like that, especially when you hear what it's for - chances are they could have charged a fiver and done a bucket collection and maybe got more - who knows.

We chose to charge £6 for our games across the season so who are we to criticise (and before anyone jumps on me I'm not complaining, I voted for it too, okay!!).

great publicity stunt, they don't give any and take all the credit for the money raised.

Oh you are such a cynic! Why should they not take advantage of getting a decent crowd and collection for a very worthwhile cause. I am sure we would do the same, if say Cobblers were coming to town.
