...... we going to get some fixtures for 2015?? I'm getting fed-up seeing work dates going into my diary and not being able to work around dates for matches !! I hate this stupid League !!

Also, anyone got any idea when the sides applying for promotion are made public - that might make interesting reading?

Last year that information came out on Thursday 5th December.

Thanks AK, I knew that but last year rumours abounded that they were coming out - I've heard nothing this year. So want to get dates in my diary so I can plan ahead, I'll be gutted if I have to miss some of our top games.

Interesting post from a Huntingdon based poster on the Non League Matters Forum:-

"I would be surprised if Huntingdon applied. They would have much work to do on the ground and I doubt that they have the desire to pay the sort of money that would be required to run a Step Four team (yet). AFC Rushden & Diamonds will apply and Holbeach United certainly seem keener than when they won the league a couple of years ago. The only other realistic applicant from the UCL would be Wisbech, who turned down promotion a couple of years ago for financial reasons. I don't know their current feeling about the issue."

I wonder if he will be proved to be correct?

Another post on Non League Matters Forum:-

"30th November has now passed and to my knowledge only Holbeach and R&D have applied from the UCL"

Ian is a UCL official, so I would think his information is accurate.

Not surprised that Huntingdon haven't applied (going by what's being said). Does anyone know what major differences there are at Holbeach compared to when they won it and had the chance to go up two years ago? Are attendances drastically higher to support the extra travel costs required at step 4? Has their ground undergone any improvements to meet the standard? It didn't look like they were a few months away from gearing up for step 4 football (in terms of their ground) when we won there last season.

My information is that the Ginger Whingers and their debit cards only agreed to return if promotion was sought

Carter's Park needs work carrying out to make it Step 4 compliant.

Are the Ginger Whingers Holbeach? Sorry, I get a bit confused with the nicknames. :D
