We may see some Diamonds old boys on Saturday.
Aynesly McDonald has only missed one game for them so far. Elliot Dent and Jake Gillingwater are also there, although Elliot's only played once and Gilly's no where near fully fit. Troy Johnson is also part of their squad.
We may also get to see the elusive Lynval da Costa on the D&D pitch.

Not there Sat so can you say hallo to Gilly & Elliot for me Dave, not sure why Troy is still in UCL 1 I always saw him as much better than that in those early pre season games, I`m sure Dunks must be shaking like a shitting dog at the thought of being marked by the Welsh enigma that is Aynsley McDonald.

He stopped playing for a year.

I bumped into Gilly last weekend, he might not play as he is having a knee operation and it might be this week. He said, Aynsley doesn't play much because he has work commitments and Troy was suspended for 3 matches after a sending off. Gilly also said Elliot got injured against the Cobblers and has just played his first 90 minutes in 3 months. I don't think we have much to worry about.

Sileby were badly under strength for the corresponding fixture last year, fielding pretty much a youth team. I assume, despite the availability problems mentioned above, they'll have mostly senior players on show(?) so it should be fairly competitive. Hopefully our creative players will have loosened up a bit after Tuesday night's exploits and we can make a purposeful start - would be nice to have a good lead at half-time for a change.
I remember seeing Justin Edinburgh present Aynsley MacDonald with a Wales U17 cap at Nene Park a few years ago. He looked set for big things (relatively speaking) then.

They have Daren Young and his cheque book in the manager's seat now (writing this on Thursday could all change by Saturday)

After we went bust in 2011 Aynsley joined Corby in Conference North. He was a regular for them early on but broke his ankle in one of the FA Cup preliminary rounds and once fit was never able to get back to the same level.

Let's hope the rain that is forecast sweeps through in good time. The pitch was certainly in excellent condition last Saturday, but I guess some rain wouldn't be an issue, as long as it doesn't deter people travelling to the game.

The question is what's our best starting XI?
I'd go with
,......................Findlay
Merrill......Dolman....Parky......Brown
Gearing...Confue...Harris......Ling
..............Koriya.........Dunkley
