Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who turned up tonight.

Further progress made on Dale's Bar thanks to the "portakabin crew" :D

Great painting session on the club house too, that is progressing really well. Thanks to everyone for their continued efforts.

I'll next be at the ground Saturday morning at 10.30am and could really do with some people down there to help us crack on and get the clubhouse finished if possible. 5/6 people painting for a couple of hours tonight got so much done, if we could get 10 down there Saturday morning then we'll get it finished I'm sure. I'm aiming to be at the ground until about 3/3.30pm all being well.

Also, I could do with 2 people to help me and the groundsman cut some turf on Sunday morning. We're starting to skim the turf off of the bit we need to concrete along the side of the pitch (we're using it elsewhere in the ground). We need 2 additional people to help cut and roll the turf, it'll be dirty work, but if I can get 2 people to help us we estimate it'll only take us an hour or so - any takers please email me on jim@afcdiamonds.com - first 2 people to contact me get the gig :D

This will also mean that the ground will be open on Sunday morning, so anyone wanting to come along and finish off the painting (if we haven't got it done Saturday) is more than welcome.

I would like to echo `Pigman`s` sentiments.
I was down at the D&D for a NSYL meeting last night and was very impressed with the work that has already been done.
Clubs at our level reply heavily on voluntary help in coaching, managing and assisting on the field and in all aspects of running a football club off the field.
Well done to those who have given their time already.

Well done dex (I realise who you are now :D ).

I can't make it over tonight sadly, but just so that you know (any of you who can), the emulsion paint and brushes/rollers are in the portacabin nearest the turnstiles, you can see where we've got to and we need to carry on around the building, including the hospitality area (please be careful not to get paint on the decking, there are some old curtains in the cabin to use to protect it). The front of the building may need a second coat.

The weather forecast for the weekend is looking awful, but I'll still turn up at 10.30am on Saturday just in case - we'll have to play the weekend by ear I guess
