I'm inclined to agree with this. Leave the handshakes until after the match as it used to be the case.

They've been absurd since they were introduced. Let the players sprint towards their fans en masse like in the (not so) old days.

Agree WWODB. Much preferred it when the players ran out of the tunnel and at least one player lashed a ball a mile into the sky. ;)

Agreed. Let the players run towards there own fans with 'Eye of the Tiger' playing full blast. Gets everyone pumped up!!

It's nothing but a stupid gimmick to make it look as though the FA are doing something to encourage respect. If it wasn't ridiculous enough already, the FA's decision to cancel the pre-match handshakes between QPR and Chelsea the other week just made it even more farcical.
