And starting games for them as well, I know we didn't really see him at centre back, but didn't realise he was that good after signing for N Pagnell, good luck to him.

And MOTM
Also in starting eleven, Kartel Dawkins and Joe Curtis. A Diamonds reunion next week then. Incidentally I believe Joe Curtis was the last Diamonds player to receive a red card v Leiston in Oct 2020 about 80 games ago! (please correct me if I am mistaken) At least we may win Fair play award again this season.

I believe it was Jack Ashton rather than Joe Curtis, but otherwise that appears correct. That was just a few games after Ross Oulton was dismissed at Nuneaton, so a very short 2020-21 season didn't have a very good disciplinary record.

More than made up for it in past 2 years. Can we get a 100 games without a red card!

Was also trying to think of the last time we were awarded a penalty. Dont think we've had one this season?

I think you are correct on that. Its an indication of how rarely we can get into the opposition penalty area. The "race" is on to who can concede 100 goals first us or Bedford. Diamonds 78 in 32 games, Bedford 75 in 34 games. Chances are we might "win" that one!

They have some experienced players in their squad which allows a player more freedom, if he had signed for us for the last 10 games of last season he would have thrived.

The former players squad between the last 8 months and the next 6 months the former players thread is going to be busier than it's ever been.

Nathan Tshikuna warming up for Step 5 Newport Pagnell Town today ahead of their FA Vase game against Atherstone, but not in the squad.
