Jeff Vetere. Was this guy part of R and D coaching set up. He has just been sacked by Spurs for revealing their transfer targets in a TV interview.

Re: Former Players
He was youth team coach for a while, during the period Burgess, Mills and Bell all progressed to the first team. He had a spell at Real Madrid too not long after leaving us.sussexdiamond wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 12:08 pm Jeff Vetere. Was this guy part of R and D coaching set up. Re: Former Players
Used to love watching him play during a pre match warm up as much as the players. Had a sweet left foot and could ping a pass from 50 yards pretty much accurately every time! Think he was a promising player as a youngster, but got an injurysussexdiamond wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 12:08 pm Jeff Vetere. Was this guy part of R and D coaching set up. Re: Former Players
"Sir"Tom Lorraine joins Cambridge City. We must be absolutely pottless if can't afford TL? Surely he wouldn't have cost that much? & he definitely knows where the goal is. Would have been a good teacher for Jenson IMO.

Re: Former Players
I understand that Cambridge C made Tom an offer he couldn't refuse so good luck to him. We have little or no more money left in the budget and must now look to next season.

Re: Former Players
Tom Lorraine and Jack Bowen are not good enough for this level. Maybe the level below but even then I’m not convinced

how many of the current squad would be good enough for step 4? A lot if people might say all of them, but him not so sure. Maybe half the squad. Only player who is step 3 level is snedker and Hughes at a push as he has experience now at that level. Brining in Tom Lorraine would have actually brought some interest back. Maybe next season

Re: Former Players
Shane Bush now at Step 2 with Slough Town, playing in his more natural position at centre half.
They say we've lost our money we're not famous anymore.....

Re: Former Players
A few familiar faces at Hayden Road tonight as Rushden & Higham face Northampton ON Chenecks.
Jack Ashton, Callum Westwood and Adam Confue all currently play for ON Chenecks.
