Very curious as to why a Japanese property company would want to take over a defunct non-league football club with £750,000 debt..?
Are they Amber Knights or is Property the key word?

Property men love football clubs as Peterborough, Northampton, Cambridge United, Wrexham, Mansfield etc will testify.

Well they've already said that they want to develop areas of the Nene Park site, which is what we have been trying to do for years. Whatever happened to the hotel?

Perhaps they see the site as something worth investing in? Perhaps they are yet to break into the UK market and see this as an opportunity, or perhaps they just want some publicity in the UK. Who knows? They could be billionaires for all we know just looking to buy an English club for a laugh.

I do wonder how long-term this scenario is going to be but right now quite frankly I don't care.

Agreed on that, First priority as a fan is to have the club in the immediate future. But making sure the club is run sustainably will be crucial (For the reasons we are now seeing)

Im guessing the likelihood of the Japanese property company buying the land off KC is very very high?

I believe that the hotel operator that KC had in mind decided that in the current economic climate it wasn't prudent to proceed with a 3/4 star 140-150 bedroom development. The same happened to Cambridge United about 5-6 years ago when their plans to develop the Newmarket Road end at the Abbey Stadium experienced similar problems

OK but the big question is do they want a football club to develop or the land for development..?
Could be both, and not being negative but would like to know more - just like everyone else.

Land for development I'd say. The whole "investment is still there no matter which league we are in" makes me think that...

Read an article on Park-Ji-Sung today, and it was very interesting. Apparently globally he's the most popular player at MUFC. This may a bit dreamy, but imagine if we can break into the Japanese Market? Might even be able to form a link with the Urawa Red Diamonds and be able to even sign Japanese players looking to make it professionally in the UK!
