Car boot items and volunteers wanted...

Post by Red Diamond »

Now is the time to part with all those items you have hidden away but don't want anymore to raise some much needed money for TDSG. If somebody is willing to set up a stall /stalls at the Diamonds car boot sale this coming Sunday I don't mind collecting or taking collection of anybody's unwanted items.
Also it would be a good idea to have a bucket collection as mentioned by Stagman as people were entering or leaving Nene Park making them aware if the club folds so do the car boot sales.I know it may only be a small drop in the ocean but what are your thoughts on this and more importantly who wants to volunteer and donate some items?

PM me please

Can't they open the stadium up, during the car boot, and hold some 5 a-side games on the pitch? I'm sure most youngsters who get dragged a round with the parents, don't really want to be there (some might).

It's probably to late to organise this now, but in the future, this could be done?

Mrs Stagman has got buckets orgainsed for both snack bars at the Car boot but others around the car boot would be good , also give us a email if you want to drop anything off for a car boot stall, we will open the Airwair to store it . We will need volunteers to man the stall, we can provide a float if need be. All volunters looking after the stall will get free hot drinks and a bacon bap (how,s that for bribery)

As a seller, we would normally get there for 5.30am.

What times would you need people for the bucket collection?

If this is a runner, I've got some stuff that could go on sale. I can't help with selling, as I'll be on holiday.

I guess some items sell well at boot sales - I think the last one I went to was about 5 years ago - are books, CDs, VHS OK. Are electrical items OK if they don't have a PAT certificate ?

I'll bring the stuff to the meeting on Friday evening assuming it can be stored somewhere without making a mess.

Without seeming racist, foreign people tend to buy anything.
