Predicted low of 1 degree over friday and saturday, above freezing so hopefully the pitch will be fine. The rain/snow showers aren't going to be good for it, but if that holds true then it should be safe from freezing.

A drop of rain would be welcome as long as it washes this snow away.

Am I right in thinking they don't have covers for their pitch?

If the big freeze ends by then and all this snow/ice thawing, the pitch will be a mud bath...

I think you're right, although I would hope we would lend them ours for that game.

i do not think there is a chance of the game to be on next week as we need it to warm up to at least 3-4 days of it being +6 or above, which by the forecast it maybe +1 fri & sat,not enough to get a quick thaw, the frost will be at least 2-3 inches in the ground so it could take a few warm days.
