.........looking at the fixture list confirms I did the right thing in not paying out for a season ticket this year - I think I am going to miss my record number of games !!!

For a variety of reasons, mainly work, I won't get to see a game until 30th August - and thats away !!!My next game after that is likely to be 5th Oct !!!!!! In that period I will miss 6, YES 6, home games !!!!

Things start to settle down after that, but that is shocking !! I was really excited about the new season and the fixtures coming out, now I feel more than a little deflated - I'm gutted :?

Sat 21st Aug - Barrow (A)
Tue 24th Aug - AFC Wimbledon (H)
Sat 28th Aug - Grimsby Town (H)
Mon 30th Aug - K*ttering Town (A)
Sat 4th Sep - York City (A)
Sat 11th Sep - Newport County (H)

Interesting how many newly-promoted/relegated teams we have in our first 9 games, aswell as the harder ones against Wombles n York.

Sad news Piggers :(

Hopefully the club will play well enough to make you re-evaluate those "variety of reasons" ;)

The opening few games are interesting, and I think it'll be a tough start to the season. Five new clubs (impossible to predict how they'll do), K*ttering (derby games can go either way) and York and Wimbledon (good sides as we saw last season). Barrow is the only team we shouldn't fear, but even then such a long trip for the players will be difficult.

Yes, the players struggled after making that long trip last season. ;) ;)

But they didn't have Bath in the week prior to that trip ;)

It's funny how you change your expectations throughout the season. Last year I said I was going to make less games despite renewing my season ticket, but then the players performed how they did, and I made all the league games home and away. This season I am again thinking that I will have to cut down drastically not only to save money. I'm hoping I'm forced to make all of them again, but I expect this season I will keep the plan to make less games and spend more time doing work.

Irish, the variety of reasons include a family wedding, doing stuff for my widowed mum and visiting family in Norfolk, none of which can be "reviewed" or changed sadly (well, I don't mean sadly as its family and they come first, but you know what I mean) - mostly its work though

Pity anlthough understandable :(

If you're ever travelling from Norwich to a game, though, do let me know ;)
