I've just realised that having released Wolly, Patto and Terry and lost Byrne to the end of his loan and Huke to the end of his contract we only had Max and Tommo left who could really be described as Midfielders.
So we've added:
Day (possibly left back)
Johnson
Keehan
Power
York
Be interested to see what formation we play, I'm going with
Dale
Stuart
Porter Johnson Power York
Keehan
Faz O'Connor Charles Tommo
Jamie will do the job at the back and we should score some goals

Looks very young. Shades of Jamie McGuinness in this one? I hope not.

I'm liking the sound of that! Straight out of the FM '2-0 down with ten minutes to go' playbook.

Correct. Ex Cambridge United and Histon youth teamer.
Only made his first team debut for Histon against Kettrin in April.
Can't see him making much impact in our first team initially. Must be cheap. :?

Yea, low wages, but must have some potential!

If JE is going to make mistake signings I'd rather them be cheap ones as opposed to Hill style ones. Last seasons mistakes were Aisen, Reid and the kid from Ipswich who played 45 mins of 1 game. Three cheap mistakes. If it takes some cheap mistakes like that to get in players like Mark Byrne etc and do what we did last season, then bring them on.
I do wonder if this is a signing mostly for the potential. Maybe see what level he's at in pre-season and if he's not ready but could easily improve then send him out on loan.

Having heard the story about his dad being a property developer i have to admit i do have slight concerns. Part of me thinks Cousins has asked Edinburgh to sign him in return for not selling Tomlin, but im almost certainly reading way too much into it.
I think its more likely the club sent someone to the youth team exit trials and picked him up there.
I can't see him playing much next season regardless of how good he is, he's not old enough.

Some more concerning quotes from the Histon forum;
"Yorks old man must be after the chairman's job at Rushden now,in my opinion he is only a loss to Histons reserves,a poor player who was just making the numbers up in a losing run. "
I think there is more to this signing than meets the eye.
