There's nothing to be said about it apart from that it was dismal, the worst England performance I can remember, worse than Croatia.

Anyone know where we go from here with a shit, aging squad and maybe no manager? The wilderness of international football beckons once our 'golden generation' piss off over the next 2 years. Qualifying for major tournaments will be seen as massive achievements.

I honestly think that'll be a good thing, get the delusions down, get some realistic expectations in and hopefully pick a good team, not players based on their name.

Are you a better team than Brazil? Spain? Argentina? Germany? Holland? Even Italy and France? The reality is that you have a squad that included Emily Heskey, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Peter Crouch, Matt Upson, James Milner and no definite first-choice goalkeeper.

Once again the media bigged up your chances to the extent that anything other than a semi-final appearance was seen as a failure. Capello will likely take the blame this time, but really the England job is becoming an unenvied position. You're a good side, but not a great side, and great sides are the ones that win championships.

Before anyone says I'm anti-British or anything, I wanted you to win today and was genuinely gutted.

Oh yeah make no bones about it we're shit. But I think everyone deep down knows we're shit. We have to come to terms with the fact that we'll never consistently beat the likes of Holland, Argentina and Germany. Quarter finals are probably the best we can hope for and the quicker the press realise this, the quicker we can move forward. Oh and now we're going to lose the ****ing cricket as well, what a great day. :(

The germans looked stronger for the entire match tbf, only in that 2 minute we SCORED 2 goals in, did we did the better of the 2 sides.

Give fans their money back? No, no no no. They knew the risks. They knew deep down we aren't as good as the Germanys/Argentina/Brazils etc. They chose to travel and the risk hasn't paid off.

Maybe next time :]
