He was allegedly doing what FA officials have always done...... Trying to be the 'big man' maybe to get in the ladies drawers?????jimbobjaw wrote:I'm afraid i personally think its too late, and the World Cup bid is gone. Imo, FIFA were just waiting for a reason to say no, and i think this will be the perfect opportunity. For me its not that he was caught, its simply the fact that he thinks that he could just throw around comments like this, seemingly with no grounding. If he has grounding, then go to FIFA!
It frustrates me that (despite some obvious errors of judgement) he is painted as the pantomime villain for expressing his opinion in a 'private 'conversation. While the attention craving Miss Jacobs, author of "The Labour minister and I" blog, wearer of a secret recording device, plays the pious card.
Congratulations on a job well done.
I'm sure you are truly delighted at wrecking England's bid for the World Cup. You couldn't have done a better job for the Russian FA if you had tried. Are you taking bribes from them? Perhaps somebody should investigate YOUR motives for this story.
The Mail done good again...
Innuendo rehashed as fact.
Private conversations revealed.
British interests trashed for a few sales of a rag.
There's something broken about Britain, alright. You.
"Man has private conversation with trusted friend" shocker.
If he was exposing his thoughts to a complete stranger then you could question his judgement, but not when he's talking privately to a long-term acquaintance. Recording such a conversation is disgraceful.
This woman says she loves football and wants to remain friends with Lord Triesman. Well, she clearly loves getting her grubby hands on filthy lucre a lot more. She should be ashamed of herself.
The English tabloid newspapers are yet again conspiring to do their best to damage the England football team's prospects at the World Cup. Now there's a surprise. It's pathetic and the English people are quite rightly getting sick of it.
That's an excellent piece, and one I agree almost entirely with.JamesRDFC wrote:http://www.football365.com/john_nichols ... 27,00.html
