It was my first ever election vote, and I had a hard time choosing between the LibDems, Labour and the Greens (who have a strong chance of winning in my constituency).

I went with the LibDems in the end, though. Like Obama, Clegg seems to have secured the student vote, and I think that could be essential. I know he is inexperienced, but he is new and exciting.

Lib Dem for me too.

Apparently Irish citizens can vote in UK general elections as British citizen resident in the Irish Republic can vote in that countries elections, now I didn't know that. Also it's good to see that the majority on here have voted for the party who will allow illegals to stay in the country and who will allow petty criminals to stay out of prison, excellent! :lol:

This is my first general election where I will not vote. (for 20 years)
I am eligable to vote by post in the UK but have chosen not to.
2 reasons.

1.) Have always voted labour, now dissapointed with labours performance. Cannot bring myself to vote Tory after experiencing their previous term. Not convinced by the LibDems. Europhile, so would not vote for UKIP. Not a racist, hence no to BNP. Greens I dont know enough about. So I dont feel I have a strong enough, or well informed enough opinion to vote.

2.) Since I dont actually live in the UK, I am not convinced that I should influence your choice of government.
