Ipswich boss Roy Keane has banned non-league Rushden & Diamonds from signing any of his players on loan.

Keane (above) is angry that 19-year-old defender Jack Ainsley was only given 45 minutes of senior football during a two-month loan spell.

He said: "Jack certainly won't be returning. None of our players will be going there.

"It's not the first time that Rushden have done this."

Rushden manager Justin Edinburgh played for Tottenham in the 1991 FA Cup Final defeat of Keane's Nottingham Forest.

Keane added: "There's a bit of history with him - but I've a bit of history with everyone!"

 anyone who pisses that tw*t off goes up in my estimations. Well in JE.

Although he is of course talking b*llocks as usual, if a player is not good enough then that's not our fault.

What a complete kn*b! What is the point of banning loaning us any players? As WWODB said, if the player is not good enough then hes not going to get a game! Keane is such a hypocrite! If him and JE swapped, not beyond the realms of possibility  , he would not have played Ainsley either, as our defensive five is stronger than him imho!

"It's not the first time that Rushden have done this."
When else have we done this with one of his players?

What a complete tosspot.

It would be hard to justify playing one of our own youth defenders at such a key time in the season, let alone one that is just on loan and has no future with us.

I do however wonder why we signed him in the first place...

When he first turned up we were winning games for fun so there was no chance of him getting in. In the 45 minutes he did play he looked a decent player but i have to wonder why he was here in the first place.

Lets not forget that we got Kurt Robinson from Ipswich, and other clubs may think twice before sending us a player again.

And who else have we had from Ipswich who we haven't played?
