Unbelievable, if you had told me we'd be in the next round at 5pm when we gave away that 2nd pen I would have thought you were mad, one of the, if not the greatest moment of our short history, its dramatic late winners against all the odds is one of the reasons why I love football so much, that was so special :D :D

I feel we got a few important bits of luck in the match, Faz handballed before Alfie slotted away the first goal, the terrible 2nd penalty from them and the fact that City just weren't able to properly challenge our goal in the second half, of course largely due to some superb defending, exactly what we needed today. Though then again, of course both pens may have been dubious, I didn't think the first one was a pen, so City can't complain really. I feared for the worst when they went 2-1, it was clear they were better than the sort of team we're used to facing, we were struggling a bit to cope with how quick they were going forward, 2-1 down at the break wasn't too bad. And it was deja vu with that Kingy goal, massive match, an amazing strike, at the perfect time just when we needed it at 2-1 down and in front of a 800+ crowd just like against Oadby.

Just feels so good right now, to beat Southern Prem team in such good form is a simply amazing achievement and the team deserved it for putting in everything they had and digging deep, what a day for the club, even radio Northampton gave us some decent coverage, they still spent hours analysing a dull 0-0, but they just finished their programme congratulating us!

Only UCL team left now, Spalding were well beaten by AFC Hornchurch (from the same level as City), thought they may have had a chance in that one, but clearly not against one of the best teams from the Ryman league.

What a match. What a finish. What a result.!!!
The Sat Nav was already primed for Histon and along comes Alfie Taylor.

Everybody was fantastic today and that includes the fans.

We could so easily have played out for the draw as Cambridge were clearly happy to do.
The difference was the managers. City took off the two front men and Starms want for broke.
Certainly a case of " He Who Dares Wins".

The winners of FC Clacton or North Greenford United would be a good tie. Step 5 v mid-table Step 4.

I thought Cambridge believed they had won the game at half time as their second half performance lacked intensity. Their penalty miss was the most comical I have ever seen  .

So glad we're not going, it would have been nice to visit an old familiar ground and replay would have been a good result, but I said a few minutes before the end that we really needed a goal to win it today if we wanted to go through, cause knowing our away form I don't think we would have beaten them at Histon. Who do we want in the next round, there's the odd step 5 team left, but I don't think any of them would be in our region, so chances are it'll be a step 2 or 3 side again, can't wait to find out who we get!
