My recollection of events was the same as yours Raz, there can be no excuse for the fracas that followed - but I do have sympathy for our players who were responding to aggression, the ref had already proven his incompetence to protect them!
I don't condone violence, but standing up and protecting one of your own would be expected to be honest!
As to the bit about not giving the ball back, it's not in the rules and if the tables were turned, any side would look for the equalising goal - they were set defensively and could/should have dealt with the attack - they weren't up to it! They should play to the referees whistle at all times! If they want to bleat on about gamesmanship then maybe they should turn their focus on their own behaviour - whilst some of ours didn't cover themselves in glory, they most definitely didn't !!
Hanlon's outburst is in an effort to deflect attention away from him and his team - we should do our talking to the suits !!

Correct so end of debate, he knew they were taking the p..s but for some reason failed to deal with it. A Langley player did challenge Bunts when he received the throw from Brad a clear indication they were playing on and an even bigger sign to us to do likewise. Would be interesting for those who have access to the footage to confirm that, on previous occasions when Langley players simulated injury when the game was restarted, neither the Ref instructed the ball to be returned nor was it, with no complaints from anyone.
Presume Hanlon's side kick making a trip to hospital was part of the "to add good effect" debate they were having in the car park as we left. Wonder what they came up with as cover/smoke screen for all Hanlon's unsavoury actions??

I'll never forgive Hanlon for missing the penalty against Luton that would've kept us up.

Did us a favour to be fair. Imagine if we'd have stayed up. Our points tally would have been in single figures.

Meh, you never know what might've happened in the summer. Maybe Tippett wouldn't have been appointed.
But IIRC even if we'd won against Luton we'd still have gone down by a point.

Staying up is staying up though. I remember driving back from a family holiday where two of my brothers families were, to watch Port vale relegate us. My youngest brother found it funny, a swift twatting to his head later, he hasn't spoken to me since.

Just another thought. Not one of our players received a yellow card during the game, yet 3 for KL. Does that not say something?

Only that your memory is fading, didn`t Courtney get a yellow following the first bit of classis pitch rolling by "I think" the Langley No 7, an event which closely followed a rather rash 2 footed lunge by again "I think" the No 4, an action which received no punishment though I`m sure that was helped by our player not rolling about.
If anyone can be bother it may be worth a quick email letter to The NLP as in the report the published yesterday about the game it states we didn`t return the ball after Langley players had receiver attention, factually incorrect as none of the 3 players rolling on the floor received any physio attention due to the simple fact the was Jack s..t wrong with them.

They powers that be seem to be taking their time making a decision regarding the abandonment.and any punishments.
