That was the greatest night in AFC's history for me tonight. Brilliant atmosphere and a superb result on the pitch. The players dug deep and were the better side in the second half. Rode our luck in the first half as Sileby hit the same piece of woodwork 3 times and Quincy in fine form. Brad Harris was lucky not to have been sent off in the first, being the last man in a foul but was not even booked. Looked like a blatant foul on Alfie for a pen, not given and golden chances missed by Gearing and McBride. Really good game all round and reminded me of some of the old RDFC's grinding out tough wins in the Talbot era. Roll on Saturday!

What a fantastic result, well done to the whole team. This is what the season is all about, the odd low and some real good highs. Up up and away........................ :geek:

Bloody great result!!! So proud of the lads.
Man of the match for me was Quincy, but they were all great
Sileby weren't what I was expecting at all, they were pants.

Hopefully that'll knock their confidence a little maybe dropping a few points here and there, they face Bugbrooke next Tuesday night

They definitely weren't pants!! The defence did a terrific job keeping Byrne & Foster under wraps and lets be honest but for some heroic defending and goalkeeping early on they could have been out of sight. Everyone was fantastic tonight, they all ran themselves into the ground! Awesome

Admittedly wasn't there, but from the excellent radio diamonds commentary it didn't sound like they were at all, hit the woodwork 4 times in the first half didn't they and sounded like they caused us problems?

Apart from the three chances they had in the first half, I really don't think they were anything special, but that was down to our lads playing them off the park.
