In addition the Main Stand and PDB Terrace Emergency Lighting was also tested. (Again these pictures are without stadium floodlights which would normally be on when the stadium is occupied of course).

Ahead of showery weather this week, spring feed and seed applied to the pitch.

Pitch greening up after recent fertiliser treatment by the groundsman. Regular cutting and weed spraying continues as normal over the summer.

Some more pitch work scheduled toward end of month. Then pitch rest til pre-season schedule - earliest use expected in 2nd week of July currently.

Also over the coming weeks we should have a few volunteers up for some general repair work and painting etc ( once it's a bit drier). Most jobs are outside - only a few jobs to be done in chg rooms ahead of pre-season. We will have access to outside toilets and also Dale's bar for tea/coffee for volunteers.

I currently coordinate most volunteers via a small WhatsApp group, and a few via email. Drop me a direct message here if you want to get added. Plan to have a few weekday daytime, evening, and weekend slots to suit.

Final pitch works via Summer funding.

Contract Fraize/Scarify cleanup - remove dead bits/poa/cleanup surface for the preferred rye grass to take hold.

MarkP, groundsman then did a clean up cut with the boxes on to pick up any other bits.

A few volunteers up on Sunday for a few hours - this week's task was re-fixing the mesh cover to the fence on the far side end to end, as had come loose in many places in the wind. Made use of stronger (hopefully) cable ties this year. More work to follow with other boundaries, wood repairs, roof repairs and general painting over the coming weeks.

Tuesday Morning - June 1st - Contract overseed (3 ways) across pitch - final main works on pitch.

Now moves into pitch maintenance mode (cutting/watering/selective weed killing). In addition some routine maintenance on equipment undertaken - main mower and hand mower.
