Interesting tweet from K*ttering FC this afternoon.

@K*ttering_FC: we still believe that a community club is the way forward. A club for fans by fans. Never again one man deciding a clubs future! We go on.

Move the clock back 10+ years and were all back where we started, soon to be playing in the same league, and we have the advantage of more fans, more money but most importantly better run. It's getting hard to hate them  shell we have a big get together and man hug then move on. We need them around as don't forget all the times we played them we only ever lost once in a meaningless last game of the season. So lets all look at season 2014/15 old rivalry revisited and 6 points for us.

I agree we need them around. They actually beat us twice in league. The match you mentioned and the fixture at NP in January 2011.

Well we got to 500 pages and now it seems the fun will end, according to the Beeb the final dispute is over £58k of back rent a figure that should be resolved prior 22nd July.

Maybe since we got to 500 pages this thread should close as the Nene Park saga basically is over.

We can open another separate thread on their abysmal season in the Southern League in due couse ;) .

Sounds a good idea to me. With their expected 1500-2000 "loyal" fans returning to the fold, many of them with season tickets helping to pay to turn Latimer Park into the next Steel Park, they should sail back into the Conference in double quick time.

I agree that this thread should now be retired. I'm looking forward to the day when normal service can be restored. Will be very interesting to see how their home league attendances in a division higher stack up against ours.

As the new boy may I be so bold as to sign it of with a few words.
Rockinghorse Rd Nene then Steel park,
Ladic lead & kept them in the dark.
They all followed this pleasant honest man,
Who made several attempts to flush their club down the pan.
But the sun now shines at Latimer park as a new man moves to the fore,
Next season the league, FA trophy & maybe more.
With a 2000 strong following they are sure to succeed,
And we wish them well as rivalry we love & need.
All the best to the travellers from K*ttering from the best supported non league Club in Northants.

I'm not really in favour of retiring or locking the thread. By all means let it drift away if there's nothing to discuss but what's the alternative? 3/4 K*ttering-related threads cropping up every week because they keep embarrassing themselves? It happened before desperate measures and it will happen after it.

I don't think this saga is over yet. As we all know abject failure is what K*ttering specialise in and if they don't start the season like a train (which with the current squad they won't) then crowds will dwindle and it'll be fun and games yet again.

Oh, and nice poem Brownie ;)

I agree, this thread was left running to capture any KTFC chatter, and it's worked - maybe move it over to off topic if people don't want to see it here anymore, but I think it's work keeping personally, especially when the wheels come off their new season on front of the 2000 faithful ;)

It'll be more like 5,000 judging by the euphoria. Sell-outs every week at Latimer Park etc.
