Giving the trophy on Saturday is really weird, in every league it's always the last home game. Maybe the UCL suits are all on holiday on the 25th?!

According to John Weeks they have other presentations to make. Surely you plan around the flagship trophy?

But then this a league that thinks it's acceptable to have five home or away games in a row, have teams finish their seasons on different dates and relegate or promote teams on the quality of their cake.

Despite FA Full Time site reporting last night the attendance was 586, Sileby have tweeted that the attendance 'from their turnstile' was only 406.

http://full-time.thefa.com/DisplayFixtu ... d=14648597

I remember two years ago they reported an attendance which appeared not to relate to the number actually there, apparently not accounting for fans who gained admission from the housing estate.

But Hey ho not our problem ...... We are Champions and that's all that matters. ;)

[quote="Formic"]Scott's goal was a fine way to seal the title. He had another fine game as did Matt Gearing, with Tommy Berwick showing for the second game running what he can bring to the team once he gets his shooting boots on. Richard Bunting has really excelled in the past few weeks too, as have the back four with Charlie Butt improving with each game. It was an excellent turn-out of Diamonds fans too.

Spot on, a great finish and one we will remember from the title-winning match.

I have always said we would get promoted, now it is a reality.

I am Happy :D

sussexdiamond wrote:crowd tonight was 586. That should boost Sileby's average attendance.

Now level with Thurnby on goals scored 116, they play tomorrow evening.
Thurnby lead 1-0 at h/t.

Andrew Tideswell in goal for Holbeach!!! according to twitter.

I agree - but I want to heap as much misery as possible on the opposition and win by the most points margin possible - I'm greedy that way :)
