To be fair I think he has a point. The money paid at Step 5 is stupid.

The money is only stupid if a club offers it to gain the title, with no ambition to play at a higher level. I cannot understand why a club would want to put up a challenge for a top 3 spot, with no intention of applying for promotion. It is understandable if a club invests in players who are capable of playing at a higher level, to give them the springboard to cope in a higher league, such as we have done. And, we are going to play at a higher level, next season.
But, to throw money away, simply because you want to prove you are better than another club, FOOLISH. !!!!!
