I agree. I think on the basis he's signed for K*ttering people are quick to point out his flaws. He might have been almost totally one footed, but that one foot wasn't bad really was it? ;). One of out best ever players was seriously one-footed if I remember correctly.

The fact is i'm sure most if not all of us wish he'd have stayed regardless of who comes in.

I would have loved him to stay, the thing that that annoys me is the fact of who he signed for, its like a Tottenham player signing for Arsenal or a Sunderland player signing for Newcastle, its just not acceptable.

Like I said in a previous post I hope he doesn't live to regret his decision.

It's the fans that have deep love for 'their' club not the players and the fact that Jake has decided, for whatever reasons, that he wishes to now play for K*ttering Town should never be held against him. As I said in my earlier post, good luck to the lad who I found to be a really likeable guy and easy to chat to. He took his chance, after Alfie's untimely injury, and was a valuable member of the squad that secured it's goal.

I have such mixed feelings about this, When I saw K*ttering I thought please be a wind up. Of all the clubs he decides to sign for them.

But saying that I'm sure he didn't do it in intention of p*ssing anyone off. Is it really fair to hold a player back from playing at a higher level regardless of the clubs position/finances. I'm sure Jake would be doing it for himself and his family so good on him in my opinion. He deserves first team football, and for all that he done last season, being back on the subs bench ain't fair to him.

I said this time and time again last year that for all jake missed, and as everyone has stated about his one foot, I think Alfie was half his problem. They simply couldn't work together as they competed against each other all the time.

I wish jake all the best, don't regret it...I just hope that if (and a big if ;) ) that the day ever comes with jake having to wear a K*ttering shirt against us that people treat him with the respect he deserves. Would hate people to boo/abuse him simply because they cant get over their dislike for K*ttering. We should be thanking him for his contribution in our first successful season!! :D

You make two very good points which I endorse. With regard to the first this is something that has been very apparent. Jake preferred to play with Ben and Alfie seemed to play better with Dev.

I would think that the vast majority of our fans would give the upmost respect to Jake if he ever played against us, whether in a K*ttering shirt or for that matter for another club. That's the way it should always be.

I would never boo an ex player of ours. Unless they really deserve it (i.e Billy Turley)

Someone suggested that on poppynet and I don't think so really, I've always had my doubts about him tbh and have mentioned it in the past how I felt he could sometimes be a frustrating player to watch, the fact he's signed for K*ttering has no effect on my opinion of him, he is young yes and scored some great goals of course but still plenty to work on. But I will be interested to see how he does certainly as he's only played against mostly poor division 1 sides up to now.

I think the teams in the D1C league are certainly no pushovers.

Certainly even though St Neots won the league, there were some VERY good sides in the D1C league IMO. Could surprise K*ttering, as their fans seem to think they'll walk the league!!

Jake's made his decision, personally I think he's wrong but time will tell. I'll wish him well, but I hope they get beaten every week as always ;)
I think they're in the last chance saloon now, the move to BPW has the looks of the last attempt to save the club. God knows why RJ is spending his money on it, it's not like he's a lifelong fan, but if the fans don't show up it wont matter for long.
Players come and go, the club remains and thrives without him.
