Fantastic result, well done lads, gutted I couldn't be there to see it, alas work got in the way
Oxford got what they deserved frankly, I think all the messing around was all the "team talk" our lads needed
Well done on topping the table - just one more challenge left now, bring on Thursday evening ;)

Ewer ought to have seen the lads, water a game, the floodgates truly opened tonight. We had oceans of space, and hit the channels well. What was billed to be a Titanic game, turned into a very one sided affair, which you couldn't sea coming
The subs were coming on to whoops, and the buoys pulled out all the stops
I'm sure I saw nemo
the goals flooded in, with wave after wave of attacking football
Seriously, the conditions got really bad at the end, doubt the sunday league cup final due to be played at the D&D will be postponed.

On a dog of a night that was a great performance. Oxford didn't get a look in and will probably wished they had cancelled last night as well.
The pitch resembled Skeggy beach with the tide out at the end but we still kept the ball on the ground and played football. It helped that we were defending the shallow end in the second half.
Positives are that the lads will go into tomorrows game full of confidence, hopefully the legs would be too tired after a game two days earlier.
Please come along and support the lads at Cogenhoe on Thursday, they deserve a bit of support

I've never seen a side play such good passing football on a pitch that was getting steadily more waterlogged as the second half progressed. They never let the tempo drop despite winning easily and the Oxford lads did very well to keep the score down to single figures. If we continue to play in that manner on Thursday evening then I am confident they'll beat Yaxley.

Got to agree with that, the Oxford keeper made a few good stops and was helped considerably by the woodwork. At the back we controled things completly, they only offered any real threat for 10 minutes or so early in the second half.

I was chatting to the Oxford keeper's dad. Apparently he also plays outfield for Oxford City Nomads, who are the development side for the senior City team, and play in the Hellenic League (Step 5) and they finished in a fairly high position in that league last season.
