My first feeling was one of disappointment, however it does give us the opportunity to maximise our income whilst having smaller outgoings. We MUST take full advantage of the novelty factor in our first season as a senior team, get then keep people engaged. It will also give us the opportunity to lay the foundations of a winning side, hopefully including the four lads who were offered their chance to be in the first team squad by Starms last night. I know Starms said he had a 5 year plan, build strong foundations and the house will stand for a long time (No, I'm not talking about Rudolph's house ;) ).

Wasn't there two new teams that applied? Pinchbeck and Harrowby Utd?

Yes Eynesbury is next door to St. Neots and I think Pinchbeck withdrew their application. Not sure what happenned with the Harrowby one.

I would double check before heading to the Bucks county town ToD - they were playing in Winslow last season ;) ;) I've prepared a UCL location map / links page for the AFC website, but as I'm in foreign climes I won't launch it for a week or two (and possibly until after the UCL AGM).

Nice one Formic, and may I be the first to say, thank God!
It's hard enough to find a website for some of those teams, and they're often some of those 'club website' templates that have had little or nothing done to them. Burton Park Wanderers website appears to be pretty good and includes up-to-date match reports, but Bugbrooke St Michaels for example only appears to have been updated 5 times in the past season. Couldn't find any information regarding postcode, location etc.
I was going to rely on the 2008 Non-League directory i've got knocking about which I picked up from Diamonds for £10 around that time, but it may not be very reliable now. Looking online now the more recent versions are far more expensive but perhaps worth investing in.
I'll try and put together a 'Useful Links' thread once we know what teams are going to be in our league, which you may be able to help me with.

Will do - I have the websites, postcodes, map, twitter and forum links for all the UCL clubs - but as you say many don't exist or aren't updated.

Perhaps the nearest parallel to our situation is that of Scarborough Athletic - ex-Football League team, reformed by fans, but not having access to their former ground, so having to groundshare. They too started at step 10 / Level 6 -

In that case, you can do it.
Regarding Scarborough, I was reading a bit about them today, they're in dispute with another new team called Scarborough Town as to who represents the original club. Thank God we're not like that, i suspect neither team will succeed whilst they're taking fans from each other.
Jimmy Ghaichem and Dean Windass play for Scarborough Athletic.

Have been following their progress since they reformed and they're an example that shows that phoenix teams are definitely not guaranteed successive promotions and an easy way up the pyramid, it took them 2 years to get out of step 10 and now they're clearly not finding it easy to get out of the NCEL prem after 3 seasons there, hopefully they'll make it out next season and its good to see they have plans to go back to Scarborough, but despite having a half decent fanbase they're not finding it easy at all.
