KFC's first home match tonight, but the question is, will they be able to get a bigger crowd than ktfc did the other night? Probably not with it being in Raunds but it will be interesting to see how many turn up.

Just love the comment from Stalin on the first page. :D

"The Poppy Net fools also think that because the price is only £12 they're going to attract new fans."

As well as that, the previous article on Patgod is interesting in that it looks like at least one of them has finally twigged that Nene Park is unsustainable as soon as the rent is taken into account.

When RDFC were in trouble we did some simple calculations on a possible budget for a rescue plan, and quickly realised that even if all the jobs were done by volunteers, the costs of running Nene Park would more than wipe any any likely revenue from gate money / fund raising - and we were also looking at how creditors might be paid back on top of that, within the window set by the Conference.

Clearly once Cousins started to charge for rent such that the cost of running Nene Park would be around £20k per month if utility bills were taken into account, the possibility of making Nene Park viable required crowds of at least 3000 at Football League prices.

Perhaps the Poppies fans will now ask the question about how Mr Ladak ever thought he could generate the revenues required - and see if the response is any more credible than the one given by Cousins' original choice for Nene Park custodians - the Beasants.

Are you operating on GMT? My thread list says the thread was created a year ago today.

142 at Raunds tonight to watch KFC. Not sure if that's disappointing or not? On a seperate note, if KTFC do go pop and are replaced by KFC are we allowed to bleat on forever and a day about having more history and them being a bunch of glory hunting bastards?
