Formic, thanks for refreshing our memory of the Trust's position back in late 2006. One small point that document talks about the 'claw back' expiring in 2013 and not 2015?

So, based on the info Tony has posted, its 2013 and not 2015 and its not that the ownership would revert to the Griggs Group, just that the infamous clawback clause runs out, so any development of the site from 2013 onwards wouldn't result in a huge payment to the Griggs Group?

Seems to me that the end game is being played out over the next 12 months then? 2013 - all clauses expire and its game on????

As a football fan I do feel sorry for the Ploppy fans who are being played for mugs now, torn apart by their love of their football club and the treatment they are having dished out to them by certain people who deserve no loyalty whatsoever !!

I wonder which club they will all move on to next?

I don't think so. I believe 2015 is correct. I believe that stating 2013 was one of the "12 / 13 / 14" errors in the Trust Statement that David Suddens discussed with Geoff Doyle on the Radio after seeing the statement, as the Claw Back was for 10 years from the original date the Trust took over the club in 2005, and which he clarified in a statement to the ET - http://www.northantstelegraph.co.uk/spo ... p-1-755443.

I see the Poppies fans are now trying to explain their apathy using the excuse that Fans actions never achieve results. I recall the march to the Deva Stadium that day, and the linking of supporters hands around the stadium prior to the match. The final gesture was when (volunteer) stewards piled their hi-vis vests in a big heap after the match. I believe Chester fans also carried out a protest against Smith when they visited Rockingham Road earlier in the season.

I helped hold one of their banners at towards the end of that match, it was handed to us by one of their stewards.

I can't imagine many things giving me more pleasure at the end of this sorry mess than Max coming away with either the keys to the land or some money.

I recall Chester's last ever matches being attended by only a few 100 people as the majority of their fanbase were boycotting games and the fans that did go iirc managed to get a game abandoned by invading the pitch in protest. How much of an impact the fans' actions had here I can't remember as the club was on its last legs anyway after being pissed about by Stephen Vaughn I think it was but at least they did something.

K*ttering Town (Poppies) Supporters Trust Statement.

Following recent developments at the Football Club and reports in the local press the Trust would like to issue the following response.

It has been stated by the Club’s owner that it is impossible for the Club to stay alive without external investment.

If Nene Park is now an unsustainable venue without external investment, and this investment is not forthcoming what are the terms of the lease that prevent the Club’s immediate relocation to a more sustainable venue? Given that there is an opportunity of a move to Steel Park, it is important that any obstacles to a move are made transparent, particularly if these obstacles may lead to the demise of the Club in a very short period of time.

Out of necessity, the Trust has conducted bank transactions for the Club ever since the Club’s bank account was frozen (following a winding-up petition). The Club has had ample opportunity to rectify this situation, and given that agreed priorities of payments are not being adhered to, the Trust is no longer prepared to conduct transactions on behalf of the Club.

It is imperative that it is made clear to supporters who is now running the Club, what the structure of the Club is, and how its relationship with Poppies Events is to the benefit of the Club.

Without a clear and transparent structure, the Trust will be making no further donations.

Since the move to Nene Park, and despite its stated opposition to the move, the Trust Board has continued to support K*ttering Town Football Club, with the ultimate goal of returning the Club to the town of K*ttering. Without the work of the Trust and the continued support of the fans it is very unlikely the Club would have survived the financial turmoil of last season. Turmoil that was brought about by the actions of the Club’s owner.

It has been suggested that the Trust fight for ownership of the Club. While the Trust previously produced a vision document for ownership at Rockingham Road, it is in no position to meet the rental payments at Nene Park. We are, of course, ready and willing to meet with any potential investor who is looking for our support.

It has been suggested that the Trust calls for a boycott of the Club’s games in order to speed the removal of its owner. The consequence of such an action may well hasten the demise of the Club, and such a course would only make sense if a majority of our members were looking to force the Club to fold (in order to facilitate the return of senior football to K*ttering, albeit at a much lower level), or someone was waiting in the wings to take on the mantle of Club Owner. The Trust is willing to consider a boycott in the event of either of these scenarios becoming apparent.

The Trust urges the Club shareholders to hold an urgent public meeting where their plans can be outlined and the challenges faced clearly detailed. It is time all supporters had the truth about the direction OUR club is taking.

To be fair to them, thats about as much as their Trust can do !!

However, if the club share information about the relationship with the Poppies Events Company, and there is shown to be a beneficial link to the football club, won't this show a link/involvement with GR as well? The FA will be very interested in that and I'm sure they will be asking the Trust to provide a copy to them of any communication received.

As a football fan I wish them luck in extracting themselves from the tangled web of deceit at NP and in being able to return to their proper home of K*ttering........I also look forward to playing them again in the future !!
