In a way this might be the best news that they've had in a while. Clearly the real people in charge at Nene Park didn't want to deal with (or trust) Rolls - hence nothing got signed. He's done his immediate job of getting the CVA, and now they can either sort out a deal with someone to keep things going for a three years or so until the 2015 deadline, or pick things up themselves. It also ties in with news that seemed to be leaked about HT's increased involvement there if that does prove to be true.

Reading this I seriously wonder how the FA will monitor the situation ensuring that Rolls has no further 'influence' over the management of KTFC?

They've got to get through the Winding-up Petition yet Formic and there is no certainty they will succeed in getting it overturned, particularly if it has been lodged by HMRC.

The Ploppies have stated on their OWS that his petition pre-dates the CVA agreement so they obviously think that it will be dismissed on Monday.

Everyone knows that I am a pedant when it comes to language, but surely I am not the only one who reads the opening sentence of George Rolls' statement and thinks either that a) English is not his native language, and he is just plucking impressive sounding but actually ordinary words at random from a cheap dictionary, or b) he really does think that merely opening his mouth and making sounds is the equivalent to communication or c) he truly is as thick as two short planks, or d) any combination of any or all of the above.
"I am flabbergasted & shocked at the decision that the disciplinary panel has taken in context to the charges levied against myself."
What a tosser: who, at any time, would ever believe such an obvious snow-jobbing chancer? Oh yeah - K*ttering Town fans!

I was wondering - what happens to Rolls if he doesn't pay the fine? Surely he's got no reason to pay the fine, he's out of the game for 5 years anyway so what can the FA do to him if he doesn't pay them £10k?

(Regular readers may also wish to roll their eyes at the now apparently obligatory use of the this century's football crisis buzzwords, “sustainable” – from a club which, in going down the pre-pack administration route, stepped into territory so amoral that even the overwhelming majority of football clubs in desperate financial situations have not dipped their toes into it - and “community-focused” – from a club which moved eight miles away from its community a year ago)
