Imay be wrong but i think Boston Town are at a different step allowing Bruno to continue playing while he sees out his 4 match ban with Matlock who are also at Step 4 like us. He is actually on duel reg. With Boston

This season has seen the return of at least 9 former Diamonds players. Brown, Heath, Sandy, Brown-Hill, Mulligan, Ward, Graham, Adams and now Cairo Taylor. Who will be next?

The suspension rules are an absolute farce. How and why can a player be suspended by the FA yet play for a lower level club during the period of his ban.
I recognise this rule could favour us if a player from Steps 1-3 who was suspended chose to play for us for a couple of games but surely it makes a mockery of the system and only the club are penalised not the player.
Just assume for a moment Andrade had not warranted being sacked by Diamonds. This is particularly highlighted through no fault of the club we lose a player for four games at a critical time of the season yet he can continue to play and draw a wage at Boston.

When I was a lad!!! Suspensions were for a period of time eg two weeks. This was unfair because a player could be suspended for any number of games or none at all if bad weather caused games to be postponed. That is why the current system of a number of games rather than a period of time were introduced.
Now it seems just get a red card and go and play for someone else. Whats the betting Tyler turns out for a Step 5 club tomorrow?

Hard to disagree with that, but to confirm, the cut off is Step 4 and above and Step 5 and below. So we couldn't take players from steps 1/2/3 during a suspension, but a Step 5 team could.

I knew there was another one! Thought it was Ryan Inman ( I wish ) but you're right it was Oulton.

I know we don't talk about Bruno at the moment but I wonder whether he will also be a returnee in a few months time when the dust has settled.

As we know, the players were advised that they wouldn't be selected again this season and as a result were free to pursue other opportunities. From the end of the season onwards it's a clean slate and it would then be up to the management and any players to decide what they wanted to do next season.

So when , not if, we get back to Step 3 our players could not dodge suspensions.
But could we still dual reg players, which has been quite useful to us in recent seasons.

If he or Tyler heard the naughty but amusing chants from the De Banke on tuesday he might not even consider coming back.
