What a ridiculous statement. Cast your mind back to the opening 3 months of the season, prior to Ty Deacon joining, and we were playing some dire football, losing half of our first 16 games. Burge has inherited the exact same team as Peaksy had then, and has made a decent start in his FOUR games to date.
I'm not saying Burgess is definitely the right man to take us forward, but f**king hell, give the bloke a chance.
How is it ridiculous?? Are you saying you are happy we let a 2-0 lead slip? Yes Burgess has the same team (-Ty) as earlier in the season but surely you must agree that the team now have significantly more confidence in getting results? My statement is just my own personal opinion formed from my observations. The recent signings of unfit/haven't played players at this stage of the season is baffling. It's not like we have plenty of games/time to get them where they need to be.

Tbf to Burgess where are you going to get fit quality players at this stage of the season. Most clubs are either chasing promotion or fighting relegation and will be in no mood to release players.

A few of the players have looked out of sorts recently, in particular Nathan.

But it’s to be expected whilst they get used to AB’s methods, and obviously the players thought highly of Peaks, let’s also not forget, they’ve only know Burge for a few weeks.

Obviously we let a two goal lead slip which was a shame. I was expecting Tamworth to come and give it a real go, but they were average at best IMO. We were fortunate with the results of teams around us, and we have a 4 point gap over Alvechurch.

I actually agree with your point that Peaks wouldn't have let that lead slip. Problem is I doubt Peaks would have got us in to that position in the first place with this squad devoid of Ty or Ravi. It goes back to what I said about the formation earlier in the thread. It helped us offensively but didn't help defensively. Peaks wouldn't have been so cavalier in the first place, his way of playing was built purely on a very solid defence knowing we wouldn't create many chances. AB has been quite open about wanting to do more offensively.

So we are going more Kevin Keegan and less Jose Mourinho, far more entertaining but more stressful
