Who knows what’s going to happen against Biggles, but I think the team will be glad to back on the road in a waysussexdiamond wrote: Wed Oct 20, 2021 9:08 am Biggleswade has to be the game to win and win well
That game is followed by 3 away games at Stratford, Matlock and Hednesford then we have the matter of a Home cup tie against K*ttering.

We need to start with the side that finished Tuesdays match. This whole launching it up to Tom thing just ain't working and is rubbish to watch.

what have you been watching,,,,,,,,,its been "hoff ball" all season so far !!!! the pre season friendlies were good,we played some smart football,as soon as the season kicked off ,back to long ball !!! , for me,ill go down the lamby route,,the football has took a nosedive since he moved on,,,,did anyone else see peaksey leaning on the dugout for about 20 minutes in the first half, looking totaly disintereted, while the other fella, sorry i dont know his name, was shouting all the time(and not constructive)Trek wrote: Wed Oct 20, 2021 7:57 am I personally would not be in favour of Paul Lamb returning as I, for one, did not enjoy the style of football that he clearly advocates with too much ‘hoff ball’.
we can blame poor weather,we can blame poor attendancies,,,,,the thing i see is poor football ,which stems from poor managment ,,,,,one point from nine is just not good enough, especially at home,,,i may upset a few people, but i think the board need to be brave before its too late !!! they have never been in this situation,,,,,biggest decision theyve got to make STICK OR BUST (and that could be the club if this carries on)

Sorry Dunk you’re entitled to your opinion but disagree and we certainly played far more long ball from the back in Lambie’s day. We just had better players when he was here and were playing in a lower league but I didn’t enjoy the football. Some fans have short memories and it’s just over a week since playing well against a decent Rushall Olympic side and was enjoyed by those who attended and were bothered to post on the match thread and in case you havn’t noticed are now in 4th place in the league.

Not going to pretend to be happy with what’s happening at the moment but I think we are getting a bit carried away at the moment. Take one of our big chances on Saturday and last night and we could be sitting here with an extra 6 points just outside the play offs. A lot of talk that Peaksy needs to go or doesn’t know what needs doing, I’m pretty certain he knows exactly what needs changing and is doing everything to make it better. If anyone can tell me where we can get a prolific striker plus a few other excellent players all for next to nothing then I will totally agree with everything you say. We have to build with what we have or can do. Or we ditch the fan ownership and look for someone to put money in. I personally believe we need to focus equally on off the field situations like the food issue getting sorted. Back to simple burgers and hotdogs will be a start. Cash back on the turnstiles is a must and whatever has caused volunteers to walk away needs to be addressed and welcome them back. I have no doubt that as we all go about putting our views on this forum Peaksy is searching everywhere to find players to improve us and be more competitive. Take a look at the league, Peterborough Sports, Coalville and Banbury appear you be the stand out teams, Tamworth, Royston, Hednesford, Bromsgrove, Rushall, Stratford are all decent so it just shows how hard it is to get even 10th place. Do I want 10th place, of course not but I enjoy thoroughly when we beat the bigger spending teams and get amongst them. I’m sure it’s a blip, let’s see where we are in January. Can we also have another pay what you want match to generate some interest and boost attendances.

Surely you need a card to get cash out the ATM, why not just use the card?
And if it's stopping youngsters coming, let under 18s in for free.
I'm with dunk, long ball has been too prominent since the start of the season.
