Perhaps you can quote me where I have said point blank that this should be the league we stay in.. I think you have misunderstood me somewhat. Yes I have questioned promotion and would it be beneficial, however we both agree that it would be wrong to want the team to lose.. that's crazy thinking...
I think there will be a few more people a bit up in air about being promoted based on the results and performances this season. Will it be the case of being the goldfish in the sea?? Who knows

I mean the season I created the infamous retained list post (the best thread on this forum since the football league days), I went to around half the games, and last season I made about 25%. Reading back I stand by every single opinion, vindicated by subsequent decisions by management and recent opinions from the right people on this forum. I'll be reserving comment this season given my attendance is a solid 0%. The only issues anyone could subsequently have were my opinions on Tom Lorraine and Brad Harris, which of course, should be left alone until the end of the season. Whether they're good enough is irrelevant right now as they've been great club servants and would love nothing more than them seeing us home in the play offs.
2015/16 - "I wouldn't be fussed if Lorraine, Kennedy, Harris and all the new players that came in March who didn't make an impact were not retained. I stand by the fact that Lorraine isn't good enough and if we had a better striker up front this season, we would have been promoted."
2014/15: "Release Butt, Gillingwater, King, Turner, Berwick, Lorraine and Rogers"
Interesting reading in fairness. To be honest I think Declan Rogers would improve our side right now let alone 2 years ago. A proper winger who's now playing week-in week-out at Step 3 and doing pretty well by all accounts.
Grew really frustrated with Berwick and was more than happy to see the back of him, having said that the downturn in our fortunes around 14 months ago coincided with him leaving....

Admittedly I was happier with my Declan Rogers assessment when we had Claudiu there instead of him the year after

Play off final and still in the play-off hunt now is a downturn?

You've conveniently glossed over your statement that Jack Ashton would only be a backup player.

You've conveniently glossed over your statement that Jack Ashton would only be a backup player.
Anyone not got any good comedy recorded for tonight it's page 32 under "If you were Peaks"
Sadly we couldn't keep Merrill or Purse but we have signed the latter again so presume that's classed as a correct prediction. And could I have your considered view please OD2 on Sam as you were prepared to let him stay as "he's deserved the chance to prove himself at Step 4", so was he worth taking the chance on.
Any why did Tommy B have to score goals to justify any recognition, excluding his odd little strop I would consider him to be one of our most influential players with his off the ball movement which created so much space and opportunities for others, lest we forget the slight downturn in form when he was 1 of the 3 B's who were lost at the latter part of last season.

I wonder if the management who originally signed Delroy Gordon to partner Liam Dolman agree with me?
There were a few times where Jack looked suspect that season against more physical players such as Eynesburys number 9 and I thought he would struggle against physical strikers the level up.
Glad to see his form has been good around the frusrating injuries.

What am I elaborating upon? The fact I thought Sam was good enough that season to have the chance to cut it at the level up? It would have been a temptation for management to swap our promotion winners for trusted players at that level, e.g. in the position you've brought up, Jason Lee. I'm personally glad we only made that move when we were forced to last season, can't really add any more subsequent review as I haven't watched an AFC team with Sam in it since late 2015.
