Thought Ralph did a very good job yesterday, that's massive news/massive bonus that the stand doesn't have to be demolished in order for us to be there. Let's stay in Rushden. :biggrin:

Started watching the old Rushden Town at Hayden rd somewhere about 51 yrs ago, witha green and white bobble hat for first team games and a blue and white for reserve games. Interesting ,which i think will put about 15-20% on our gates. Lets get going.

Do you mean the name, Doug? I don't know what 'cudges' refers to but Higham Town were, apparently, known as 'the lankies'. :dry:

Thanks that is what I wanted to know. cudge is probably a person.

So why the lankies? Did they only ever have tall skinny players. :joy:

In it's early days Higham played on Lancaster fields, and the name was shortened to Lankies to give them their nickname.
