Kings Langley are certainly in a rich vein of form with 7 wins in a row since losing 1-0 at Egham.

Although, on paper, they appear to have the easiest run-in over their final 11 games, not having to play anyone in the current top 5 in the table, I wouldn't rule teams such as Fleet and Aylesbury being capable of spoiling their party.

yesterday was very strange, this forum was very quiet beforehand, the players were very subdued, so were the supporters.

I do think it's very easy for players to get themselves up to playing us, we have historically found that difficult to combat, (Oadby, Eynesbury, Holbeach, Wisbech) You can see our rivals also struggle at times against supposed lower level opponents when they raise their game against them and they struggle to combat the same situation.

I did feel after tuesday that it was the first time we were able to overcome that, i understand the St Ives players all had the day off on tuesday. Maybe the St ives match took too much out of us that we couldn't raise it again so soon.

The target was always possibly play offs and i think we are able to achieve that. If Egham, Kings Langley or Royston go on and win the title from here then they will have deserved it and fair play to them.

A very disappointing performance. We deserved nothing out of the game. We need to cut these couple/few bad performances out of the games.

I think there will be a lot more twists and turns to come in the league. Kings Langley still has a few tricky games away from home.

Egham and Royston are playing each other midweek, not to sure which result I want, a draw or Royston to win.

Honest assessments by Peaksy and Jack there - I never expected anything different from them.

We now need to push on big style and get back to winning ways to keep the pressure on the sides around us - we've certainly now made it difficult for ourselves, but the fat lady isn't clearing her throat yet !

Just a glimmer of positivity on this gloomy sunday morning.....Kings Langleys game in hand will be played on 8th March away to Fleet, who are currently in very good form.
Although 3 teams could go above us if they win games in hand. Royston and Egham meet on Tuesday so one if not both will drop some points.

IF Kings Langley go top it will be interesting to see how they react. Will they handle the pressure? It's one thing chasing someone else but more difficult when they will be shot at and as Sussex correctly points out they've still to play Fleet twice who've done well recently including thumping Barton Rovers 8-1 away from home.

In those interviews you could see how gutted both Peaksy, and in particular Jack were after the game. True Diamonds those two.

We were just not good enough, the players need to bounce back against Potters Bar, and I have no doubt they will.

yes- it was a below par performance but KL seemed to be doing their best to provoke us into another scrap.I thought several players did well to keep their tempers under control. Both Hall and Hoban were frequently chopped down when they attempted to make a dribbling run. Liam played well but was obviously unwell - he seemed to improve once he had ditched his bandage! Ashton was my MOM as well but I thought the defence coped well in difficult conditions.

I thought Ashton was MOM by a country mile, although the defence did quite well overall. We're missing Sam Brown but I think Kennedy may develop into a really good player and his long throws are very useful.

A bad day at the office but still a long way to go. Are we good enough to be champions? - I'm not sure if overall we are.
