as for a home tie. i was talking to my mate last week and we could only remember 5 home fa cup ties.
cardiff
leeds
sheff united
yeovil
scunny

it's up there with r+d legend like:
having a sticky november
never playing well when we travel to the west country
I can think of a lot more. Some of the most notable being the 5-4 win against Grantham which remains one of my favourite ever Diamonds games, and the 3-1 win against Macclesfield when Simeon Jackson had a field day.

There were 2 games against Yeovil. A win in which Ranks scored an absolute belter in 07/08 (I think), and then the ridiculous 1-0 defeat in our final season which was the supposed reason KC decided to quit as chairman.

oh was grantham in the cup? remember it hammering it down and macca getting a brace.
forgot about the other yeovil, when ranks done the back flip.
i'll never forget mat smith saying on the itv highlights, 'i think common sense prevailed there' and the goal stood. when their player clearly interfered with play and therefore was offside.

Two that immediately came to mind for me were Hinckley in 09/10, when they equalised and their fans went absolutely mental, we won 3-1. Also Tamworth at home in 06/07 in the 2nd round after we'd beaten Yeovil, lost 2-1, with an absolutely awful performance. Tamworth went onto get a plum tie against Norwich on TV.

Similarly to us at Dover then! But Tamworth was gutting, to lose at home in the Cup to a team in your division just one round away from the 3rd Round is extremely disappointing and I never saw the old club get to the 3rd round having started supporting them too late. I seem to remember us missing out on a trip to Fulham I think it was as well, the year we lost at home to Leyton Orient in the 2nd round if I'm not mistaken? Ideally for me, every FA Cup run would finish in a nice day out at a team from a higher division and a decent ground, even though we lost, the Dover trip was probably one of my favourite days as a Diamonds fan.

Was it the Tamworth match that they got applauded off the pitch?

Dover away was the only time I've been happy to spend 11 hours on a train in a day. What a wild day that was.

Hoping for a good draw tomorrow, a crap team at home will more than do.

I agree a crap team at home will do. :D but have a feeling we'll be drawn away to Chasetown/Barwell or someone like that.
