Looks like Kings Langley is another Club we have visited where the official crowd counter has had an industrial accident and lost a finger or two, during a stoppage in play and from a very good vantage point I had a count up, got to 260 and stopped. why can`t Clubs just give an accurate figure, they can then have the debate with the opposition afterwards that 20 were match sponsors, 20 Committee from both Clubs 10 came in on Official SL passes, and anyone living within 10 miles and under 98 was allowed in free so your 50% of a 400 gate is £15 10s 6d.

£15 10s 6d !!! I did not realize you were that old to remember pre decimalisation.

I was not at game but did think 200 was a meagre crowd and was actually thinking what has happened to our usual great away support.

Just like Ware Sussex our great away support was in attendance just another case of missing finger syndrome, Ware are tactically better at it than Langley as they manage to get 300 below 200, 174 from memory was the official gate there.

Regarding the attendance, this was queried by a couple of Board members I am led to believe, and they were told 205 reflected the paid amount subject to a split between the two clubs. KL pointed out that U16's (free admission) were not included so the crowd was, I reckon, certainly over 250.

There were at least 200 Diamonds fans in attendance.

The paid amount is something that is sorted out at a later date, we don`t need to know how many any given Club tries to knock off, but the attendance is everyone in the ground excluding players, management and officials and that`s what should be announced and recorded. Using the above excuse I guess when we have had community days we should have given the attendance as 550 not 850. And yes there were at least 200 Diamonds fans there.

Well yes, I was quite surprised when I saw the official crowd as 205, I thought it was closer to 300 really.

That'll get brownie going - he stopped a physical count at 260 on Saturday, so a little massaging of the figures maybe??

Kings Langley didn't count those that were outside the ground drinking in front of the clubhouse. ;) That was one way of getting around the FA rules regarding alcohol. :o

They may not have counted us but they certainly took the £8 from us.

I'm sorry, but that can't be true! We paid our entrance fee and therefore were in attendance - we were in and out of the ground all afternoon and there was no-one there to monitor people actually going through the gate.

My guess is they got their attendance abacus from the same place as Dover !!
