Back in our hands - although we still have to win every game. Wisbech can also win it if they remain 100%.
Holbeach are pulling out all the stops (in wage bill terms) on Tidswell now...

Re: Midweek football fix !!
What a result! And totally unexpected too. I expected them to blow Boston away so that's a bonus result for us tonight. With games against Wisbech and Thurnby x2 to come I'm convinced they'll drop more points, Tidswell or not.
You sense all is not well at Holbeach at the moment. They recently signed Gavin Hoyte (ex St Neots) and I was thinking what an excellent signing for them that was, however he was playing for Biggleswade against Corby tonight so it looks like that was just a token registration.

Following the scoreline tonight was very much like that famous night when Hereford beat Yeovil. Lets hope for the same outcome.

Re: Midweek football fix !!
I've just got back from Huntingdon v PNS (1-2 final score) and that flattered Huntingdon greatly.
First half PNS totally dominated and led 0-2 at half time, they didn't really show up second half, nor did they really need to. Freaky goal for Huntingdon with a few minutes to go (shot which hit the defender and looped up in the air over the keepers head) and that was it. Decent little no 3 at left back, tidy player with good distribution, and the no 6 looked sprightly when he got out wide, but unless they have better players who play at the weekend they didn't look up to much if I'm honest. First half they looked bright down the left and their dead ball delivery was decent, second half was a lot of huff and puff really. If they play the same no 2 on Saturday Dunks is going to have a field day !!
If we play on the front foot with the same starting line-up as last Saturday it "should" be straightforward - but with the Holbeach result tonight we need to keep focused and not get complacent, but in all honesty I saw little tonight to worry us other than than the pitch, which is very uneven and bobbly.
The crowd, swelled by Brownie, myself and a cake eating UCL board member was about 35 !! :o

Wow, just saw this, what a result
And Wisbech beat Boston 4-1, the fact Holbeach bounced back from 2-0 down shows they may not be done yet of course, but that is one heck of a blow for them and right now you could argue Wisbech are our main threat, that game on the 21st could be absolutely huge, Wisbech are in such good form and if they keep it up they'll come to the D&D knowing a victory could mean snatching the title from us. But nevertheless, while it's still far from over, I have a good feeling that we will finish top this season now.

Re: Midweek football fix !!
I certainly feel more confident now knowing its back in our hands, a better position than holbeach winning their games in hand and having to drop points.. Wisbech are the team on form at the moment, and yes the game on the 21st will be huge but as long as 2 things happen.. 1) they manage to keep 11 players on the field  and 2) they show as much passion and determination as the away fixture then they should have the ability to despatch of them.. At the full time whistle in November it's like the title had been won.. I have never felt that proud of the team, that buzz running through my body, last time was at spencer in the first year.. 8 heroes on the field. What a roller coaster!!!!
