It was just like the St Andrews game. They wanted it more and we couldn't cope with the conditions. Let's hope for 4 months of dry weather to keep us going in the league.

One top 6 side was in UCL action today - Cogenhoe, who lost 3-0 at home to Oadby. Two ways of looking at this; it's a shame someone a lot lower than us can win so convincingly where we couldn't, but on the other hand it seems Cogenhoe were quite depleted today, seems like they threw everything at us on Tuesday and we did well to come back to earn a point.
I believe we could have beaten then. But Peaks decided to continue to play with width despite our goal coming down the middle and Koriya having a mare. But there you go :?

Very, very disappointed. The vase is a great competition and we have gone out with barely a wimper. It's becoming clear that some of the players are not up to it especially in the big, tough games. We need a new creative midfielder and a new left winger. Fazel, simply not good enough.

I don't think we have been quite right up front for at least 4 games now, with the competition to start up there I was expecting more from them. For me Joseph has to be given a bigger opportunity. The game Tuesday nite was calling out for him to come on early second half not just 5 minutes at the end.

I disagree, I think we've got a strong bunch of lads. Its the tactics and ultimately the management who are increasingly running out of idea and looking out their depth in the big games. We have a pretty poor record in 'bigger' games and its what cost us last season and I fear will ultimately cost us this year.

We are now out of The FA Cup & Vase very early on against weaker opposition. Its becoming a tend I wish we didn't have.

I'm sure we went out of the FACup to a team 2 leagues higher? And the team we played today can hardly be described as weaker opposition.

On paper we are alot stronger than Hullbridge, granted Hendon were leagues higher but I still felt that we didn't have the ideas to win that game (which we could have easily done).

Didn't go today so won't comment too much. The result however is really deflating for everybody connected with the club. I was really looking forward to a good run in this competition and we've fallen at the first hurdle which is a major disappointment given our resources in comparison to the vast vast majority of Step 5/6 sides.

We seem to have a problem scoring at the minute (after we couldn't stop scoring previously) and given our high standards I think you'd now have to consider this a loss of form. It's essential we snap out of this ASAP, starting at Whitworths. Let's put them to the sword and bang in a shedload.

The experiment of playing four centre backs clearly didn't work, highlighted by the fact that Koriya and Gearing contributed little without the support of an overlapping full-back, and Charlie Butt looked so effective when he came on - although far too late.

We've dried up. The chances are few and far between and they're not such quality chances as we had been making. I think we need to move Faz back up front, he's gone back to his bad habits of trying to beat every player on the opposition side twice before offloading the ball. We also need to sort out the right back position, Clarkey was dead on his feet with 15 minutes to go last Tuesday and didn't stop enough crosses. Then we need a left footed left winger. Long Buckby up next we must go and attack from the off, we need to get our confidence back.
