As comfortable as they get really, though could and should have had a few more against definitely one of the worst teams we've played this season, they struggled to string a few passes together without giving it straight back to us, can see why they're near the bottom.

Well that was just how I thought it would be, but, we didn't score as many as we should have. A very comprehensive display, they were dreadful and we must have had 70% posession. Very good performances from Gearing and Taylor, they both seem to be oozing confidence and for me Alfie nicked the MOM. I also thought It was a bit quiet, not much coming from the 350 or so.
3 points and not stretched.

It was a stroll in the park wasn't it? Easy win, should have been so many more, but I'll take that - 6 wins on the trot now, we're doing something right eh? Bring on Long Buckby !!

Yeah midweek games have been very quiet this season. And I think Gearing at the moment may be a potential player of the month, he's had some very good games recently.

About as easy as it gets, though we did continue to play decent football for the entire game and at no point looked like we would get dragged down to the level of the opposition. S&L did make an attempt to play some football early on, but without being to rude, they either had a very bad day or they are just not very good, though they have beaten Welly this season
Alfie looks a different player to last season, notably his work rate, though he may wish to stand down as our penalty taker. MOM for me was between Gearing and Kingy, wouldn`t have put Ling in there as although he played well & went round the right back for fun most of the night, to higher % of crosses of which the were many didn`t get past the 1st defender, but that`s being critical on what was a very good 90 mins football. Kingy kept it simple & reminded everyone what he can do, glad Starms got him off late on as S&L had started to take it in turns to kick him and would not have wanted to risk his blood pressure rising to an uncontrollable level.
Overall a 3-0 that could on another day been double figures, the S&L keeper was exceptional at times, but then he has possibly had lots of practice this season.

Mal's pics are added to the match report, and the player and match stats have also been updated. You can find links to these, as ever, at the bottom on the match report.

No doubt about it, the game last night was probably the easiest game we've had all season.

S&L were poor, too casual with the ball at times. Near the start of the second half they casually passed the ball around their defence, and were lucky not to concede.

Was the first chance I had to see Ling in action, and I was impressed, looks to be a very good addition to the squad in my opinion.
