Floodlights, at this level, always seem to be a bit dim when it's not really dark. They should have been switched on earlier in my opinion probably at halftime.Olly wrote:..... were the floodlights a little bit dim today?

Buckingham Town 5 - 3 Wellingborough Whitworth
Northampton ON Chenecks 3 - 1 Burton Park Wanderers
Northampton Sileby Rangers 5 - 1 Rothwell Corinthians
Olney Town 1 - 3 Bugbrooke St Michaels
Raunds Town 1 - 5 Northampton Spencer

We are up to 3rd - However we've played a game more than Sileby and Eynesbury and Bugbrooke still have not lost this season with 3 games in hand

Excellent news about Eynesbury drawing, though Sileby and Bugbrooke continue to look very strong.

Bugbrooke v Sileby next week
We and Oadby in Vase, and Eynesbury in league cup I think
Pleased to gain 2 points on Eynesbury, table looking very close and a long way to go. All to play for.

Yeah presuming all win in games in hand we are behind Eynesbury and Bugbrooke, I actually think Oadby have been looking the weakest out of the top 5 atm (apart from us obviously)Olly wrote:Excellent news about Eynesbury drawing, though Sileby and Bugbrooke continue to look very strong.

Once again we failed to sparkle (it was better than the Raunds second half)in the second half and damned nearly threw away a couple of points. We seemed to withdraw into our shell a little and try and play the game out, with almost a bad outcome. We still created plenty of chances in the second half, but have a rush of blood to the head in front of goal. Pass it into the goal boys and make it easy for yourselves, no need to blaze away.
