I remember that like it was yesterday, I'd just turned to Bobos and said "ah well a point isn't the end of the world" when they scored the second. I'd forgotten just what NP looked like full to capacity: http://www.cheltenhamshire.co.uk/pages/rushden.php
It still hurts to watch that, I was only 12 but I was virtually in tears walking out of nene park that day!!

Bad goals:

Dagnall - I can still picture him running and slotting past Tynan and the net rippling as the Rochdale fans ran down from the top of the Airwair. I'm pretty sure Jacko missed a few guilt-edged chances at 1-0 as well. WHY COULD WE NEVER SCORE ANOTHER GOAL?! ARGHHH! We would've been in such a good position if we'd held on as well. We dropped 13 points from goals conceded after the 83th minute that season.

Darlington - Listening on the radio as that penalty was scored in the last minute. See Dagnall.

Bury - Scoring in the 82nd minute and jumping up and down in my room only to wait eight minutes to hear WE LET IN ANOTHER LATE GOAL.

Lincoln - Actually coming back from a goal down to lead AND THEN LETTING IN ANOTHER GOAL. FFS you bastards.

(The thing that always makes me even more angry about that season is that we finished on 45 points and still finished bottom. Any other season there would've been a basket case, or a reeeeeeeeeeeeally shit team and we would've stayed up, but everyone was really bloody good)

Stevenage was really annoying to listen to as well, on the other hand I did cheer when Cambridge scored a last minute winner against us to effectively sack Hill.

Oh and Oxford, I don't really remember the goals but I do remember crying as I walked out. Having to watch that one tit of an Oxford fan come up to the away section just to make a wanker sign at us still makes me angry. Prick.

I think Scott's shot nearly hit the floodlights rather that find the back of the net from 2 yards out :D
Scott Partridge hadn't signed for us yet... I'm fairly sure that game was against Torquay?

Either way the miss was a joke.

The goal I'll always remember, has to be the Billy Sharp (Who?!) goal against Cobblers, meant so much because Stoney, Ted etc were saying they'd beat us all season on the old forum!

Also the game against QPR in the old second division (league 1).. it was 3-3 and Onandi Lowe was through on goal, and I thought he'd score, but missed, that goal COULD have kept us up that season.

The amount of Peno's we missed in one season, that was annoying! I think it was against Salisbury first game of the season, and Jacko (I think) blasted it so hard, it nearly went over the Airwair!

It was Aaron o connor on debut get it right!!!! ;)

I loved both goals at Luton away when we beat them, never wanted to beat a team so much since we beat cobblers and to get the first win against them at their place was special!!

Another game that hurt was losing at home in a replay to Sutton with a shambolic performance in the Quater final. We would of played Kingstonian who went on to beat K*ttering in the final at wembley!!

Ohh yeah!

Luton was probably one of the best away days ever. I remember after the game seeing 'Meat Pie Sausage Roll' with a blooded nose, after getting a whack!

Anyone remember the 5-5 game against Farnborough (I think)... can't remember a game where I got so annoyed.. we were winning 5-3 and Steve Cherry made two monumental f*** ups (his last game if I remember correctly)
